Are the courses taught in groups?

No. Soundskillz core courses are taught individually, face to face, with a dedicated instructor. If you want to attend with a friend, this can be discussed separately.

Where do the courses take place?

At Studio 43, 15 Lyubata St., Lozenets, Sofia.

How long is each course?

Three months — 12 one-to-one sessions of two hours, or 24 face-to-face hours in total.

Do I need previous experience?

Not for beginner courses. Advanced and specialist programs may require existing production knowledge.

Do I need music theory?

No formal background is required for beginner courses. Practical theory is introduced where it helps production.

Can I work on my own music?

Yes. Personal projects are encouraged and are central to the one-to-one model.

Which software should I choose?

Logic Pro offers a broad production and recording environment, Ableton Live excels at experimentation and flexible audio work, FL Studio is strong for pattern-based production and beatmaking, and REAPER is a light, fast and flexible choice for both music and audio post-production and sound to picture. The free consultation will help you choose.

Do I receive a certificate?

Yes. The Soundskillz Academy Certificate of Completion is issued after you complete the full course and successfully submit the required Final Project.

What is the Final Project?

It depends on the course: a finished track, a mix and master, a sound-design portfolio, a beat portfolio, a studio plan or another practical deliverable defined in the curriculum.

Can I book help without a three-month course?

Yes. One-to-one sessions, mentorship and studio consultations are separate formats.

Do I need my own computer to enroll in a course?

It is not required — all sessions take place at Studio 43 with the studio’s professional equipment. It is highly recommended, though, because the courses are technical and software-focused, and practising what you learn between sessions makes a big difference.

Do I need to own the software to work at home?

No. The course takes place entirely at Studio 43, where the software is provided. Owning the software is only recommended if you want to practise and work on your projects at home.

How does it all start?

With a free 20-minute consultation or an Open Day. The meeting is not an exam — the goal is to understand your experience, preferred DAW, musical direction and goals, and recommend the right starting point.

When is my place confirmed?

Once the course, starting period and instructor availability are agreed, enrollment details are provided and the full payment or first installment is received. Places per intake are limited.

How can I pay?

Upfront before the course starts (about 5% off) or in three monthly installments. Installments are a payment plan for one complete course, not three separate monthly products.

What if I need to miss a session?

Sessions cancelled in time can be rescheduled subject to instructor and studio availability. Exact terms are agreed at enrollment.

Who owns the rights to my music?

You do. Students retain the rights to their original music and projects unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Can I use the studio outside my course hours?

Yes. Soundskillz students get preferential rates for studio time at Studio 43 — message us to book a convenient slot.
